American billionaire Frank Mackert stated that he has proposed to acquire the TikTok app. He believes that American company Oracle should lead the deal. According to him, this will ensure the safety of TikTok user data in the United States.
However, ByteDance, the Chinese company that owns TikTok, is more interested in a deal with technology giant Microsoft. Experts suggest that for Microsoft, the deal with TikTok could become a strategically significant step in the social media market.
"We see that the TikTok platform has immense growth potential and audience engagement, so this is an interesting proposal," noted a Microsoft representative.
The overall value of TikTok is estimated at around 50 billion dollars. Currently, negotiations are underway regarding a possible deal, and it is unlikely that the parties will agree to a purchase without additional details and guarantees.
