During trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, there was quite an active day. Investors with net positions awaited the speech of Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. However, after his speech, which turned out to be more "hawkish" than was expected, fund indexes began to decline.
"We do not see a need to change monetary policy due to the dynamics of inflation," Powell stated. This statement was for many investors pleasantly surprising, as analysts suggested that the Fed would raise rates earlier due to rising prices.
