Apple has rejected a proposal to end its diversity inclusion initiatives, citing a report that notes that some large companies, such as Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft, and Zoom, are withdrawing from their diversity programs. The court required Apple to eliminate its programs, policies, and goals, considering that diversity programs could lead to discrimination, and that the deterioration of community relations poses a risk to the company's profits.
Billionaires completed these proposals, referencing that investors see value in the company's diversity programs. The rejection of the proposal came during Apple's annual shareholder meeting.
"Preventing discrimination," stated the national center for public policy research - "a significant matter, but the need to maintain diversity programs is vital for the company's development."
