On Sunday, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo stated that tariffs on steel and aluminum from Canada and Mexico will start to take effect with the second batch.
Raimondo noted: "We are standing on a certain position that began with Trump and has continued under the President's administration."
The U.S. is determined to restore tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum from Canada and Mexico due to the problem of steel being diverted through developing countries. Mexico and Canada have expressed concerns about the return of tariffs.
China will also be studied under a program to delay the imposition of tariffs for companies that promoted their actions in Chzhae-Chzhou.
