The European Union expressed deep concern regarding the US decision to impose tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, warning of potential harm to global trade and economic stability on both sides of the Atlantic.
EU trade representative Olov Yell stated in a statement that "the European Union categorically opposes protectionist measures that undermine open and fair trade, and calls on the US to reconsider its approach and work towards a cooperative solution that benefits all parties."
