The measures adopted by Donald Trump, in practice, are only new attempts to repeat harmful protectionist policies that he embraced during his first presidential term. They only hinder his administration from creating a "golden era of America", raising prices, reducing employment opportunities, and supporting corporations.

He without precedent adopted necessary measures, establishing tariffs on commodities of 10% on products from China and 25% on steel and aluminum, and continued with the imposition of additional tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and other countries.
The economic report of 2019 indicated that the imposed tariffs against China really did not yield results.
