In recent weeks, employees of the American Department of Commerce have been notified of a new requirement - a ban on the use of Chinese applications on their devices.
This requirement was made in light of concerns regarding the security of data and sensitive information that could be stolen or transmitted to third parties through these Chinese applications.
In particular, employees have been asked to delete Chinese applications TikTok and WeChat from their work devices to reduce the risk of leaks of confidential information.
According to one of the participants, the notifications sent to the Department of Commerce were quite clear regarding the necessity of complying with this requirement.
"No exceptions; this is mandatory," he added.
