On Monday, Harvard University announced that students whose families earn $200,000 a year or less will be exempt from tuition fees.
This decision was made to make education accessible for those who need it and to reduce financial barriers for students. Until now, many families earning less than $65,000 already paid for education.
"We invite students from all income levels to join us and engage in learning, without worrying about financial burdens," the university noted.
This change applies to both new students and those already studying at Harvard. Additionally, the university plans to increase financial aid for students whose families earn less than $125,000 to ease their living and educational costs.
