The Tesla company has received its first approval in the series permitted from California to start production of cars with an autopilot, equipped with the latest development of the company - a sensor system with the ability to implement full autonomous driving. This approval has become a building block for the launch of mass production of such transport means.
The California Transportation Authority has issued the company a permit for the production of serial cars that can utilize the new sensor system. This system was presented last year. Now Tesla can transfer the sensor data to the produced cars and start their delivery to customers.
"We are pleased to receive this certification from the California Department. This is yet another step towards a completely autonomous future on the roads," said a Tesla representative.
