The Board of Directors of Berkshire Hathaway has unanimously voted to appoint Greg Abel as President and CEO, marking a significant leadership change for the company.

Young Greg started at the University of Pennsylvania in 1980, and by the beginning of 1985 he was already senior in the risk management department. In 1991 he was appointed vice-president of finance at Berkshire's regulatory agencies. Since then he has been engaged in investments. According to the annual Berkshire report on financial position, accepted by the board of directors, Buffett is said to be stepping down from the position of chairman.
