Corsair has unveiled a new solid-state drive (SSD) from the Survivor series, designed for heavy-duty use. The American company stated that the new EX400U Survivor SSD can withstand vibrations and moderate shocks. It can operate within a temperature range of 0 to 70°C and is also resistant to dust and water with an IP55 protection rating. The company added that the new drive offers extremely high data transfer speeds, supporting USB 4 connectivity with speeds of up to 40 Gbit/s. The maximum read speed is 4000 MB/s, and the maximum write speed is 3600 MB/s. Corsair noted that the new EX400U Survivor SSD weighs about 149 grams and is available in three storage capacities: 1, 2, and 4 TB, with a starting price of $145.
