Tesla's CEO Elon Musk said the company may need to build a massive semiconductor factory to keep up with its ambitions in artificial intelligence and robotics. The company currently relies on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Samsung Electronics to produce its chip designs. According to Musk's vision for the potential factory, its production capacity would be enormous. Musk also stated that he is exploring a partnership with American chip company Intel, but said that is still not enough, and the company needs to build a large-scale chip factory. He said during the company's annual shareholder meeting on Thursday: 'One of the things I'm trying to figure out is how do we make enough chips?'
