35-year-old New York-based model and designer Aveshaw Taiwanese never expected that her hands and feet would become a gateway to the world of fashion and advertising. Since signing with her first agent in August 2020, her work has expanded to include multiple agencies specializing in different parts of the body, with each of her hands, feet, legs, ears, and neck having its own specialty. Despite her success in partial modeling, Aveshaw still retains her work in fashion design, focusing on major advertising campaigns when needed. She notes that her medium skin tone helped her get more opportunities in this field, saying: "Clients are looking for an unusual look, and I am very grateful for that." The beginning came when a family member convinced her to participate in a photoshoot for wedding and engagement rings, only to discover later that her hands and feet could earn her thousands of dollars. After two weeks of sending the photos to a specialized agent, Aveshaw received her first salary as a model, beginning her distinguished career journey with global brands like Dior, Chanel, Starbucks, Pepsi, and Coca-Cola. Her work has extended to include beauty, lifestyle, and luxury product campaigns, often with exclusive shows displaying only limited samples of the product on set. "You have to make sure you master the work, they rely on you to show the product in the best light," says Aveshaw. Hand or foot photoshoots can take anywhere from two to 12 hours, with crews ranging from a few photographers to 35 people to adjust lighting and angles, and last-minute requests sometimes come in, according to Metro. In one of Chanel's Valentine's campaigns, Aveshaw spent two days on set, changing her nail polish several times. Maintaining the beauty of her hands has become a full-time job, as Aveshaw gets a special manicure before each photoshoot and avoids any activities that could cause injury, including cycling and boxing, and wears gloves for housework and special socks during exercise, as even one broken nail can stop a photoshoot entirely. Aveshaw's fees vary per booking, ranging from $300 to $400 daily and can go up to $2,500–$3,000 daily for major ad campaigns with additional usage fees.
