Lamborghini presents its ‘Temerario’ in the U.S. after tariffs

Lamborghini has presented its new hybrid supercar, the 'Temerario,' in the United States. The vehicle is equipped with a V8 biturbo engine combined with three electric motors. The company's Head of Marketing and Sales, Federico Foschini, announced this during an interview with EFE at the Art Basel exhibition in Miami.

Foschini acknowledged that the tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump presented a significant challenge. However, he emphasized that Lamborghini demonstrated its resilience by immediately adjusting its pricing strategy, absorbing the majority of the tariff costs to protect consumers.

In this context, Lamborghini's sales fell by 3.2% year-on-year to 8,140 units in the first three quarters of 2025, and its operating profit decreased by 12.6% to €592 million. Despite this, the company noted that its figures remain among the highest in the sector, with Foschini highlighting the "strength of the brand" and expressing hope that the worst period is behind them.

For the U.S. debut of the first 'Temerario,' Lamborghini chose the prestigious Art Basel Miami Beach event. The company plans to produce over 3,000 units of this model annually. The 'Temerario' boasts 920 horsepower, a top speed of 343 km/h, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.

The executive also stressed the importance of the Latin American market for Lamborghini, where the company has resumed operations in Chile and expects to "soon" open in Panama, adding to its existing markets like Brazil and Mexico.

"Y tengo que decir que, seguro, es un momento turbulento, pero estamos muy satisfechos con la reacción del mercado", manifestó Foschini.
