Pantone Color Institute has announced Cloud Dancer (11-4201), a neutral white, as the color of 2026. This selection is intended to symbolize clarity and calm in a changing world. Experts describe it as an "elevated neutral white whose airy presence acts as a whisper of calm and peace in a noisy society." They believe this color reflects current cultural trends, inspiring visual cleanliness, well-being, and lightness. It also promotes relaxation, concentration, and quiet reflection, which is particularly relevant for today's society. Last year, Pantone chose a warm brown, while in 2024 it was a soft peach and in 2023 a vibrant magenta.
Latrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, states: "In these times of transformation, when we reimagine our future and our place in the world, this tone is a discreet white that promises clarity."
