The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump expressed significant doubts about the proposed $72 billion deal, under which Netflix would acquire the film assets and streaming services of Warner Bros. Discovery, a senior administration official told CNBC. Meanwhile, Paramount Skydance has made several offers to purchase all of Warner Bros. Discovery's assets, the New York Post reports, stating that David Ellison, head of Paramount Skydance, met with Trump administration officials and prominent members of Congress last Wednesday.
