Oil prices dipped slightly early Tuesday after surging more than two percent in the previous session, driven in part by a fall in precious metals prices even as tensions between Russia and Ukraine escalated, sparking market fears over supply disruptions. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) dropped 20 cents or 0.3% to $57.88. The most-active March contract fell 19 cents or 0.3% to $61.30. Futures for Brent crude for February delivery, expiring Tuesday, fell 21 cents or 0.3% to $61.73 per barrel by 0150 GMT. Both oil grades had risen over two percent at the previous session's settlement.
