A man from the American state of Michigan, who has used the same lottery numbers for 20 years, has won a record $32.91 million jackpot in the "Lotto 47" game. The 73-year-old man from Macomb County told Michigan Lottery officials that he relies on the numbers 02-03-12-15-16-33 since he started playing "Lotto 47." "I've been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years, and I always use the same set of numbers," he said. These numbers were an exact match to those on the ticket he purchased for the December 13 drawing, making him eligible for the largest jackpot in the history of the "Lotto 47" game. "When I checked my ticket, I immediately noticed I matched three numbers, so I thought to myself, 'at least I'll get five dollars back,'" he added. He also plans to share part of his winnings with his family and buy a new car. "We were overjoyed".
"You never expect to win a prize like this, so I haven't fully comprehended it yet," said the winner, describing himself as a seasoned lottery player. He also mentioned that he has already started making plans for his money, adding, "Honestly, the first thing I'm going to do is buy a new pair of shoes." But when he realized the rest of the numbers matched, he rubbed his eyes and checked the ticket again because he couldn't believe what he was seeing. The man explained that he wasn't the only one who was skeptical about it. He told UPI: "I called my kids and told them what happened, but they didn't believe me and had to see the ticket for themselves."
