Netflix Offers All-Cash Deal for Warner Bros.

Netflix has offered an all-cash deal to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery and its streaming assets, keeping the original price at $82.7 billion in an attempt to block rival Paramount from acquiring the Hollywood giant. A regulatory filing revealed on Tuesday that the new all-cash offer at $27.75 per share was unanimously approved by the Warner Bros. board. Both Netflix and Paramount Skydance hope to acquire Warner Bros. for its leading film studios, diverse content library, and famous franchises like 'Game of Thrones', 'Harry Potter', and DC Comics superheroes 'Batman' and 'Superman'. Paramount has changed its offer terms and launched a fierce media campaign to try to convince shareholders that its offer is the best, but Warner Bros. rejected the offer from the company led by David Ellison. Paramount shares fell 1.9%, while Warner Bros. shares dropped 0.5% in early trading.
