Veeam Unveils Agent Commander to Bolster AI Security

Veeam Software, a company specializing in data trust and artificial intelligence, has introduced Agent Commander, the first unified solution designed to help organizations detect AI risks, protect their systems, and reverse errors generated by this technology. This architecture enables the identification of risk combinations where compromised identities and autonomous agents intersect in real time. Agent Commander introduces three fundamental capabilities to the industry: Risk Detection with Context: Identifies Shadow AI and risky agent behaviors with visibility into the impact on systems. Autonomous Flow Protection: Applies granular controls over data and identities, regardless of the cloud provider or model used. Precise Error Reversal: Allows for the restoration of reliable data after unwanted AI actions without the need to revert entire systems. Strategic and Operational Vision Rehan Jalil, President of Products and Technology at Veeam, noted that controlling AI risk is unfeasible in isolated environments. This platform unifies control between production and backup to apply policies that enable AI to operate at an enterprise scale. Todd Thiemann, Principal Analyst at Omdia, highlighted that this announcement outlines a clear roadmap for integrating strengths following the acquisition of Securiti AI, focusing on operational efficiency and comprehensive security for autonomous agents in the corporate sector. This tool emerges as the first integration following the acquisition of Securiti AI, combining visibility and control capabilities to bridge the gap between data resilience and AI governance. The fragmentation of current corporate controls represents a critical challenge for trust in AI.
