The United States is the world's largest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Initial data showed that the U.S. exported 9.94 million tons of LNG in February, a 17% increase from the same period last year. This growth comes as Qatar, another major player on the market, has faced supply disruptions due to its conflict with Iran. However, it is worth noting that exports decreased from 11.3 million tons in January. Nevertheless, there are already signs of a further increase in production in March, which could allow the U.S. to fill supply gaps left by the halt in Qatar's LNG exports.

U.S. LNG exports rose 17% in February compared to last year, reaching 9.94 million tons, solidifying its position as the world's top exporter.
