Honda Recalls Over 700,000 Vehicles Due to Fuel Pump Issues

Honda has announced a recall of more than 700,000 vehicles due to a high-pressure fuel pump problem that may crack and leak, increasing fire risk. This follows a previous recall of 1.7 million cars for steering issues. Affected models include the 2023-2024 Accord, 2025 Civic, and the 2023-2025 CR-V Hybrid. Honda received 145 warranty claims but no reports of injuries or deaths related to the issue.

The automotive company Honda has recalled over 700,000 vehicles due to a problem with the high-pressure fuel pump that can crack and cause leaks, increasing the risk of fire. This is the second massive recall the company has made this month, after detecting that 1.7 million automobiles could have steering problems.

The models affected by this new recall include the 2023-2024 Accord and Accord Hybrid, the 2025 Civic and Civic Hybrid, as well as the 2023-2025 CR-V Hybrid. Honda reported that it has received 145 warranty claims and that no injuries or deaths related to the problem have been reported between February 2023 and September 2024.

The automaker has announced that dealers will inspect and replace the affected part free of charge if necessary. Letters to owners are expected to be mailed on December 4. Affected owners can contact Honda's customer service by calling 1-888-234-2138.
