Tesla Recalls Cybertruck Again Due to Safety Issues

Tesla Inc. has recalled the Cybertruck for the sixth time, this time due to an inverter issue that could cause drivers to lose propulsion. This affects over 2,400 vehicles produced since last November. Repairs will begin around December 9 at no cost to customers as the vehicles are under warranty.

Tesla Recalls Cybertruck Again Due to Safety Issues

Tesla Inc. has recalled the Cybertruck for the sixth time since its launch a year ago. This time, the reason is a problem that could cause drivers to lose propulsion and be forced to stop by the side of the road.

According to a report, the automaker will replace an inverter in Cybertrucks produced from early November last year to July. This component failure has been identified as potentially preventing drivers from applying torque with the accelerator pedal, thereby increasing the risk of collision.

Tesla informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that approximately 2,431 vehicles may be involved in this issue. This is just a fraction of the 27,185 Cybertrucks that the company already repaired in September through a software update. Previous issues that led to recalls included poorly adhered interior parts and faulty accelerator pedals.

The company will carry out the replacement of the driver inverters around December 9 at no cost to customers, as all affected vehicles are covered by warranty. The initial delivery of the first Cybertrucks to buyers took place on November 30 last year.

Since Tesla began delivering the Cybertruck in November, it has faced several setbacks and delays. In February, the trucks were involved in a broader recall of around 2.2 million vehicles to correct issues with the braking system. The previous recall of Cybertrucks was due to a problem with the rear screen of Tesla vehicles, the company of Elon Musk.
