The American aerospace company Boeing has announced the layoff of more than 400 members of its union of space workers as part of a plan to reduce its workforce.
These layoff notifications concern aerospace workers employed at Boeing facilities in California and Florida, who were involved in the production of space apparatus.
"It is very hard to see how these talented and highly qualified people are being let go," commented the representative of the union of space workers.
Boeing, which continues to struggle with the aftermath of the crisis caused by the pandemic, plans further actions for workforce reduction in compliance with directives from regulatory bodies and safety requirements.
