During the Washington Birthday Celebration Association (WBCA) Air Show in Laredo, Texas, a plane made an emergency landing and caused a fire at the local airport. The accident led to the closure of several roads in the Texas city, and the pilot, a 71-year-old veteran, was taken to a hospital in San Antonio. Hernán Martínez, spokesman for the Laredo Fire Department, explained that the road closures were implemented to facilitate the work of emergency services.

According to Martínez, "The plane had mechanical problems in the air and had to make an emergency landing. At this event, we always have all units ready for the protection of the pilots, and in this case, he was taken to the hospital for further evaluation."
