
On Saturday, a cargo plane made an emergency landing at a flooded airport in New Jersey. This happened after a collision with a bird, which caused one of the engines to catch fire.
According to an airport representative, the six-seater aircraft made a landing on one of the takeoff-landing areas of the airport. There were no passengers on board.
After the emergency landing of the aircraft, the crew immediately evacuated it. According to fire department data, the fire in the aircraft's engine was extinguished.
"As a result of the collision with the bird, one of the engines caught fire. After that, we made the decision for an immediate landing," the airport representative reported.
Currently, specialists are conducting an investigation to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
