The company SpaceX postponed its eighth experimental launch of Starship from Texas due to an unspecified problem with the main rocket, which led to a delay of the first attempt to place artificial satellites into orbit for the Starlink program for a minimum of 24 hours.
The incident occurred during the countdown timer after 40 seconds from liftoff, when SpaceX workers were supposed to investigate the issue with the rocket.
Starship was supposed to launch on a flight with four dummy satellites for testing the flight in space. If the problems are resolved quickly, the launch may take place today, on Tuesday.
This mission was the first Starship launch since the conclusion of the previous mission in January, when the upper part of the rocket exploded over the Caribbean Sea eight minutes after liftoff.
