Lilo & Stitch Live-Action Trailer Released

The first teaser for Disney's live-action 'Lilo & Stitch' revives iconic scenes. Set to Elvis's music, it tells the story of an orphan girl and her alien friend.


Disney has released the first teaser for the live-action version of 'Lilo & Stitch', showcasing the recreation of iconic scenes from the film that tells the story of an orphan girl and her extraterrestrial best friend. The trailer, set to the rhythm of 'Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride' and music by Elvis Presley, shows Lilo making a wish on a shooting star and Stitch escaping from a space station.

In the trailer, we can also see Lilo dancing hula and the two friends in a pink toy car, presenting the live-action version of images that were immortalized in the original 2002 animation. The film is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, known for his work on 'Marcel the Shell with Shoes On', and features a script by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes.

Maia Kealoha plays Lilo Pelekai in this adaptation, while Sydney Elizebeth Agudong will portray Nani Pelekai, Lilo's older sister. The cast includes Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, and Chris Sanders. The plot follows two orphaned sisters facing life without their parents, adopting a creature that becomes Lilo's best friend.

Disney continues with its adaptations of animated classics to live-action versions, such as the prequel to 'The Lion King' and the upcoming movie 'Snow White' starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot. Additionally, it was announced that 'Tangled' will also have its live-action version directed by Michael Gracey. The 'Lilo & Stitch' version will hit theaters on May 23, joining the list of successful Disney adaptations.
