Buenos Aires, November 22 (NA) -- Lorna Luft, daughter of the late star of "The Wizard of Oz," Judy Garland, expressed her enthusiasm for the new generation of stories set in the Oz universe, and highlighted the success of the movie "Wicked" and the work of its cast. According to the Argentine News Agency, Luft attended an exclusive event in New York City and said: "I'm very happy for everyone in 'Wicked'", and also praised the stars of the current box office hit. "Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are incredible. Everyone who participates in the movie has their own story and their own visit to Oz," she said. The woman also praised the rest of the cast. "Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, and everyone who was part of the Oz family are truly extraordinary," she added. Luft also remembered the influence of L. Frank Baum, author of the book "The Wizard of Oz." "I think we all have someone to thank, and that's L. Frank Baum for writing the books," she affirmed. The actress also reminisced about her first experience of seeing her mother play Dorothy in the 1939 film.
