A teenager who was bored is accused of vandalizing a golf course. In early October, an act of vandalism occurred at The Club at Venetian Bay golf course in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Surveillance cameras captured a truck performing dangerous maneuvers on the course. Later, the club's director arrived and discovered deep tire tracks and torn grass on the second green. Police estimate the damage at around $160,000, with approximately 650 square meters of the area destroyed. After a weeks-long investigation, police identified the suspect as a 17-year-old student from Atlantic High School. He confessed to the act, stating he did it out of boredom. The student now faces a second-degree felony charge of criminal mischief. Police are also investigating another individual who filmed the vandalism on their mobile phone.
