At the 68th Grammy Awards ceremony in Buenos Aires on February 2, numerous artists came together to voice their opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump's policies and mass deportations by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny made history as the first Latin artist to win Album of the Year for a record entirely in Spanish. When accepting his award for Best Urban Music Album, he addressed the audience: "I'm going to say: Fuck ICE! Thank you."
Billie Eilish, winner of Song of the Year for 'Wildflower', stated: "Nobody is illegal on stolen lands... I feel very hopeful in this room, and I think we just have to keep fighting, using our voices, and protesting. Fuck ICE."
Shaboozy, winner of Best Country Duo/Group Performance, dedicated his Grammy to immigrants living in the U.S. Bad Bunny called on artists to unite: "Instead of a few people here and there, I hope everyone feels inspired to join together as a community of artists and speak out against what's happening. Love is more powerful than hate."
