The 98th Academy Awards, held this Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, paid tribute to figures in the film industry who passed away in the past year during an emotional tribute that featured a performance by Barbra Streisand. According to the Argentine News Agency, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held an 'In Memoriam' in honor of industry greats such as Robert Redford, Brigitte Bardot, Gene Hackman, Diane Keaton, Val Kilmer, Robert Duvall, and director Rob Reiner, among other artists who marked different eras. Streisand took the stage to honor Robert Redford, with whom she shared the screen in the memorable film 'The Way We Were,' and then performed the song of the same name, while the main screen shared a montage dedicated to the artists. After the artists walked the red carpet, the ceremony was hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien, who returned as host after his performance at the 2025 edition.
