Police quickly responded to the scene after an attempt to set fire to the home's gate and later arrested a suspect near OpenAI's headquarters who was said to have threatened to burn down the office. A spokesperson for OpenAI stated: "This morning, someone threw a Molotov cocktail at Sam Altman's home and also made threats against our office in San Francisco." They added that no one was injured in the incident. The spokesperson further said: "We greatly appreciate the quick response from the police and the support we've received from the city in helping to ensure the safety of our employees. The individual is currently in custody, and we are cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation."
