Among the new features, 'secret' keywords related to Halloween have been added in direct messages and notes that will trigger effects and animations. This allows users to invite their followers to share themed images, respond to questions, and more in their stories.
Additionally, new templates have been created and are available in the 'Happy Halloween' section of the Discovery surface 'Add Yours Templates' in stories. Furthermore, Instagram has incorporated a new 'Halloween' font and a text effect for users to generate thematic content through Meta AI.
One of the new features is that by using specific keywords in direct messages, animations such as bats flying across the screen will be triggered. Among the 'secret' keywords are 'Halloween', 'Happy Halloween', and 'Trick-or-treat', as well as Halloween-related emojis.
Moreover, a new Halloween chat theme has been introduced for direct messages and broadcast channels, giving users another option to add a festive touch to their conversations. The possibility of using Meta's artificial intelligence tools to create custom backgrounds has also been highlighted.
Instagram users now have access to 5 customized 'Add Yours' templates to encourage interaction in stories for 24 hours, available to their followers.
