Google Launches AI App Gemini for iPhone

Google launched its artificial intelligence application called Gemini for iPhone today, available for free in twelve languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, English, and French. Brian Marquardt, Google's product management director, stated that the company's goal is for people to use this technology as a personal assistant for daily tasks. The application, which was already available on Android devices, features Gemini Live, allowing for fluid and natural conversations with the artificial intelligence, as well as Image 3, capable of generating realistic images. This move by Google aims to bring its AI assistant closer to more users, now in the Apple ecosystem. Meanwhile, Microsoft's Copilot application, which uses OpenAI technology, also launched its platform for iPhone this year, expanding the options available for Apple device users. In October, Apple introduced Apple Intelligence in its latest models of iPhone, iPad, and Mac, offering features such as AI-powered generative writing tools, notification summaries, and photo editing. Despite these updates, users will have to wait until December to access the extensive knowledge of ChatGPT through Siri. Additionally, it is estimated that it will not be until mid-2025 when this technology can be used to perform actions in other applications, such as creating calendar events based on information extracted from images, among other functionalities.
