A man named Max Armstrong sustained serious burn injuries, which led to infection with a dangerous bacteria capable of threatening life. After surgery, he cleaned the burn, applied a bandage to it, and left it. Unfortunately, this led to contamination with staphylococcus as a result of the burn.

According to Armstrong's own words, two days after the burn, his leg began to leak, and he didn't even notice how the affected areas of skin turned purple. He explained that his leg started to 'lose its larger patch.' When the situation worsened, he decided to go to the hospital.

Doctors diagnosed cellophane and placed him in a medical coma for six days. Ultimately, the doctors had to amputate his entire leg after the last attempt to save his life. After waking up, he realized that his leg was no longer there.

Max spent time outdoors with his friends when misfortune struck: he burned his leg while preparing pasta with cheese. "I bent the burner incorrectly and burned the back part of my leg. I felt the burn, but I didn't want to ruin it," he told journalists.

The medics confirmed to him that amputation had to be performed. Although what happened was tragic, Armstrong still considers himself lucky to be alive, even if he now has to move around in a wheelchair. Doctors assert that he has a greater chance of being alive, considering that the sepsis spread in his leg and spread throughout his body.
