According to the results of the autopsy, it was revealed that the Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman was diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer's disease. He died from cardiac arrest and other factors shortly after the death of his wife Betsy Arakawa, who passed away from a rare viral infection transmitted through mice.
Hackman was 95 years old, while Arakawa was 64. Their bodies were discovered on February 26 in two different locations in their home in Santa Fe. At the press conference, it was announced that the actor suffered from cardiac arrest, while his spouse died from the respiratory virus Hantavirus.
