The President of the USA, Donald Trump, stated on Tuesday that he will impose sanctions against Russia if its President Vladimir Putin refuses to engage in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump expressed serious concern about the situation in Ukraine and announced his readiness to take decisive measures in case of disagreement with Putin's position.
"I am ready to pursue the path of introducing sanctions against Russia if he refuses to negotiate, leading to the cessation of the conflict in Ukraine," Trump said.
The President of the USA also emphasized the importance of resolving the conflict in Eastern Ukraine and expressed hope for productive negotiations with the Russian leader.
