The international community expressed concern after Iran announced the start of operations of new centrifuges for uranium enrichment at the Natanz facility. According to the representative of the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, this action by Tehran is considered a serious violation of the 2015 nuclear agreement. She also noted that the U.S. continues consultations with allies on this matter. In response, the Iranian representative stated that the new centrifuges would allow for increased production of enriched uranium and emphasized that these steps are a response to the actions of the American side, including significant sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic. Ms. Levitt also reminded that the U.S. is ready to resume negotiations with Iran concerning the nuclear program, provided that the 2015 agreement is fully implemented.
