Michael Anton, a spokesman for the National Security of the White House, stated in an interview on Thursday that the series of rocket attacks from Iran on American forces in Iraq, as well as threats from terrorist attacks supported by Iranian-backed groups, serve as evidence of the necessity of maintaining a military presence in the region.
According to Anton's words, the U.S. has deployed sufficient military contingents in the region, consisting of ground forces, airstrikes, and naval forces, to counter threats from Iran.
"We are ready for the most diverse activities. This is a real demonstration of our capability and readiness to respond to any attacks," he added.
Anton also mentioned that the United States plans to deploy additional forces to ensure the safety of American personnel and to assist in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
