The administration of President of the USA Donald Trump stated that the court does not have full authority to prevent their actions after they deported individuals suspected of involvement with the Venezuelan gang, despite the court ban on this. Such a statement was made in an unusual announcement.

This deportation followed the decision of Judge James Boasberg to prohibit the president from fully using powers granted only for the duration of a war related to the Law on Foreign Combatants, for the deportation of more than 200 individuals suspected of being linked to the gang 'Tren de Aragua', a Venezuelan gang associated with kidnappings, extortion, and contract killings.
