US Navy Fighter Jet Crashes in Red Sea

On Tuesday, it was reported that an F-18 fighter jet went down in the Red Sea after failing to avoid a collision with the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier. The pilots managed to eject from the plane with parachutes before it crashed into the water, and they were quickly rescued by a rescue helicopter. Both pilots suffered only minor injuries, and other personnel on the deck were uninjured.

This is already the second incident of this kind in the past week. Last time, the fighter also lost control after landing on the aircraft carrier. According to American officials, the jet unsuccessfully exceeded the limits of the deck for the second time in a short period.

Prior to these first incidents, information about what had happened was reported on CNN.
