The FBI director, Kash Patel, informed on Friday that the agency had thwarted a 'possible terrorist attack' during the Halloween weekend in Michigan and arrested several suspects. 'This morning, the FBI thwarted a possible terrorist attack and arrested several individuals in Michigan who were allegedly planning a violent attack during the Halloween weekend,' Patel wrote in a message on X. 'Thank you to the men and women of the FBI and law enforcement across the country who watch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and make our mission of defending the homeland possible,' he added. The director did not provide more information but said he would release more details throughout the day. Meanwhile, the Dearborn Police Department in Michigan stated in an Instagram post that the FBI had conducted operations in the city that morning. 'The Dearborn Police Department has been informed that the FBI conducted operations in the city of Dearborn this morning. We want to assure our residents that at this time, there is no threat to the community,' the post read. However, the FBI has not confirmed the exact location within the state where the operation took place.
