Washington - AFP - The US Supreme Court on Friday suspended a decision blocking the redrawing of electoral districts in Texas, dealing a blow to Democrats and a strong boost to Republicans in their bid to win additional seats in Congress in the 2026 midterm elections. At the request of the state of Texas, the conservative-majority Supreme Court put on hold a decision issued by a federal court on Tuesday to allow judges time to review the case. On November 18, a federal court rejected the new electoral map.
