Trump Seeks $6 Million Over Dismissed Georgia Case

Washington - AFP. Former US President Donald Trump has demanded over six million dollars in legal fees. This demand follows the dismissal of a lawsuit filed against him in November in the state of Georgia. The lawsuit concerned illegal attempts to alter the results of the 2020 presidential election. The case was withdrawn in December 2024 after Trump's re-election for a second term. The reason for the dismissal was the close relationship between the prosecutor handling the case and Trump himself. On Wednesday, a formal request was filed with a court in the state of Georgia. The target of this request is the office of District Attorney Fani Willis. She was the one who initiated the case against Trump and 14 others in 2023. Trump is demanding compensation for what he considers to be improperly rendered legal services.
