Trump coined the "Donroe Doctrine" after Maduro's capture, a reinterpretation of the 1823 Monroe Doctrine. According to the president, this doctrine aims to eliminate any foreign presence—especially from China and Russia—in the Americas to restore U.S. primacy. Last Tuesday, Trump announced that Venezuela's interim authorities will deliver 30 to 50 million barrels of high-quality crude oil to the United States.
