The footage shows the woman attempting to reverse or retreat as agents surrounded her vehicle, with no clear evidence that she intended to strike them. In response to the killing and the subsequent false narrative, mass protests and vigils have erupted across the country. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) version 'garbage' and demanded the removal of ICE agents from the city, stating their actions are causing 'chaos and distrust.' Governor Tim Walz has called for an independent investigation and criticized the escalation of violence.
