US President Donald Trump stated his intention to reach a deal to acquire Greenland, saying he would achieve his goal «either softly or harshly». He told reporters at the White House that «I admire Denmark also, and I have to tell you they were very nice to me». However, Copenhagen has reiterated that its Arctic territory is not for sale.
