New York Court Publishes Text Messages Between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively on Legal Dispute with Justin Baldoni

New York, Jan 21 (EFE) - The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has made public several text messages between Blake Lively and pop superstar Taylor Swift in which they discuss the ongoing legal dispute between the actress and Justin Baldoni, her co-star in the film 'It Ends With Us'. In one of the unsealed documents, Lively asks Swift if everything is okay between them and says she feels like 'a bad friend' for being 'a sack of sadness that only talks about her own shit'. 'I think I'm exhausted in every aspect of my life, and in the last few months I've felt a change in the way you talk to me. And you've helped so many people not have to go through this ever again. You did it,' Lively writes. Swift responds, 'I'm here for you. Never has a cancellation been reversed so quickly,' the artist writes. This past September, Swift agreed to testify in the preparations for the legal battle between Lively and Baldoni, a case that is expected to go to trial in New York next May. Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024 for sexual harassment on the set of 'It Ends With Us' and for subsequently attacking her with a smear campaign after she made her allegations public. In one of the declassified documents, Lively asks Swift if everything is okay between them and affirms feeling like 'a bad friend' for being 'a sack of sadness that only talks about her own shit'. 'I think I'm exhausted in every aspect of my life, and in the last few months I've felt a change in the way you talk to me. And you've helped many people not have to go through this ever again. You've done it,' Lively writes. Swift responds, 'I'm here for you. Never has a cancellation been reversed so quickly,' the artist writes. In another exchange of messages dated December 2024, Swift sends Lively a news item from People magazine that reported that Baldoni had confessed to being 'sexually traumatized' by an ex-partner. Next to the image, the 36-year-old artist notes: 'I think this idiot knows something's coming for him, because he already pulled out his tiny violin'. 'Yes, there have been many things about Justin (Baldoni), but I've been through things like this before and I know how exhausting it is,' Swift then responds. The singer adds that reading Lively's messages is like 'a corporate email sent to 200 employees': 'I miss my fun friend who talks like herself, not like a group (...). You've helped so many people not have to go through this ever again. You did it.'
