The United States, Russia, and Ukraine have agreed to exchange 314 prisoners, marking the first such exchange in five months. This was announced on Thursday by Steve Witkoff, the White House's envoy for the war in Ukraine, from Abu Dhabi, where peace talks between Kyiv, Washington, and Moscow are taking place. Witkoff stated on his social media platform X that this is the first prisoner exchange between Moscow and Kyiv in five months, following numerous exchanges of captured soldiers and also civilians after the direct contacts they held in Istanbul last year. The American mediator described the peace talks that made the agreement possible as "detailed and productive".
